The Emerald Pool is a natural basin fed by a spring, at the end of an eight-hundred-metre path through the Khao Phra Bang Khram forest. The colour comes from dissolved minerals and shifts with the light and the season.
A few kilometres away, the Klong Thom hot springs run at about thirty-five degrees and form a chain of limestone basins you can sit in. Both are done on the same trip, and in that order: hot after cold.
Getting there
An hour's drive south-east of Ao Nang, in Khlong Thom district. No regular service: scooter, taxi or shared minivan.
