The towers were the tallest buildings in the world from 1998 to 2004, and remain the tallest twin towers. The visit takes in two levels: the skybridge on the 41st floor, slung between the towers at a hundred and seventy metres, then the observation deck on the 86th.
The bridge is not fixed to the towers — it slides on its bearings to absorb their sway, which would otherwise break it. It is the most interesting thing about the visit, and guides rarely mention it.
Getting there
LRT Kelana Jaya line, KLCC station: the exit comes out in the mall at the foot of the towers. The ticket desk is on the lower level.
