The market takes its name from the Tin Hau temple in the middle of it. It sets up in the late afternoon along a few hundred metres of Yau Ma Tei, selling mostly fakes, hardware and clothes.
What you actually come for is around it: the open-air canteens in the side streets, where you order by the dish at plastic tables, and the row of fortune tellers and Cantonese opera singers at the north end, near the temple.
Getting there
MTR Yau Ma Tei station, exit C, or Jordan, exit A. The market runs between the two.

Rules on site
Opening prices start at double or triple, and the goods are openly copies: haggle or walk on. The market only comes alive after eight; arriving earlier shows you nothing.
