Nacpan is a four-kilometre beach of golden sand facing north-west, twenty kilometres from El Nido. It has stayed unbuilt along almost its whole length: a few bamboo huts and nothing else.
At its northern end a hill separates Nacpan from its neighbour Calitang, and the two beaches meet in a spit of sand — the Twin Beach. The climb takes a quarter of an hour and gives the only viewpoint that shows both bays at once.
Getting there
Twenty kilometres north of El Nido, forty minutes on a partly unsealed road. Scooter, tricycle or shared shuttle.
What to bring
- International driving permit
Rules on site
The road is in poor condition over the last few kilometres and becomes difficult after rain. The current offshore is strong and there is no lifeguard: stay close in.
