The Frame is a gilded rectangle a hundred and fifty metres tall and ninety-five wide, opened in 2018 in Zabeel Park. It stands exactly between the two Dubais: Deira and the old quarter on one side, the towers of Sheikh Zayed Road on the other.
The upper walkway links the two uprights over twenty-five metres, with a glass floor section that turns opaque when nobody is standing on it. The project was the subject of a dispute with the Mexican architect who claimed authorship.
Getting there
Metro green line, Al Jafiliya station, then ten minutes on foot through Zabeel Park. Park entry is charged on top of the ticket.
What the price covers
adult entry. Child, 20 AED.
What to bring
- Dry bag
- Board
Rules on site
Zabeel Park entry is charged separately from the Frame ticket: budget for both. The frequent sand haze cuts the view on both sides.
