To confirm
The Bains des Pâquis are a public jetty built in 1932, threatened with demolition in 1987 and saved by a popular referendum: Genevans voted to keep them. An association has run them since.
It is a place where classes mix, which is rare: people come to swim in summer, to use the sauna and hammam in winter, and to eat the fondue served at shared tables from November to March. Entry costs a few francs, the buvette is cheap, and the lake water quality is monitored.
Getting there
On the Pâquis jetty, right bank, ten minutes on foot from Cornavin station.
