Akchour is a valley in Talassemtane national park, half an hour's drive from Chefchaouen. Two routes leave from the same bridge: the big waterfall, an hour and a half along the river to a deep pool, and God's Bridge, a natural limestone arch twenty-five metres high, forty minutes upstream.
The path follows the river and crosses it several times on rough footbridges. The water is clear and cold, and small eating places have set up along the route, on platforms above the water.
Getting there
Thirty kilometres north-east of Chefchaouen, half an hour by road. Shared grand taxi from the square, negotiated as a return.
