Historic centre of Quito
must-seeFreeThe first historic centre listed as World Heritage, at two thousand eight hundred and fifty metres.
Climb the towers of the Basilica of the National Vow: you get there over wooden walkways laid above the nave and up an external metal ladder, for a few dollars. It is the most spectacular view in Quito, and almost nobody knows it is open.
