Zócalo and Santo Domingo

The cultures museum in the old convent charges, but earns its ticket on one room alone: the gold from Tomb 7 at Monte Albán, which is nowhere else. The church itself is free, and its gilded vault is best late in the day, when the light comes in from the west.
